Direct marketing by email/SMS must follow Australian spam rules—consent, identification and easy unsubscribe
We use trusted service providers to run our operations—for example: website/hosting, email tools, payment processors (e.g., Stripe/PayPal), PetRescue forms, analytics, and couriers (for merch). They may be in Australia or overseas. We only share what’s necessary and require reasonable safeguards.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access or disclosure, and to destroy or de-identify it when no longer required and permitted by law.
You can request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask for corrections if it’s inaccurate, out-of-date or incomplete. We’ll respond within a reasonable time (usually 30 days). APP 12/13 give you these rights.
Please contact us first if you’re concerned about how we handled your information. If we don’t resolve it within 30 days, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
We collect a parent/guardian’s contact details where applications involve children and seek consent for any photos/stories we publish.
