A Safe Place for Meow

Donations made through our website help provide food, litter, vet care, and essential supplies for the cats and kittens in our foster care program. Every dollar directly supports their daily needs and gives them the best chance at a healthy, happy future.

Yes! A Safe Place for Meow is completely volunteer-run, which means 100% of your donation goes directly to supporting the animals — not admin fees or wages.

At the moment, donations go into a general rescue fund that supports all of our foster cats and their needs. From time to time, we also run specific fundraisers for things like desexing drives or emergency vet surgeries — these will be clearly marked.

Our fundraising supports vet bills (including desexing, microchipping, and vaccinations), emergency rescues, ringworm and flu treatment, and special-needs cats. It also helps us buy supplies like bottles for orphaned kittens and food for nursing mums.

Yes! We are a registered not-for-profit organisation, and all donations over $2 are tax deductible in Australia. You’ll receive a receipt after checkout for your records.
